Academics at LCA
LCA offers a strong competitive Christian-based curriculum. In the early elementary grades, the focus is on hands-on, center-based learning. Teachers focus on conceptual learning. In the older elementary grades, the curriculum shifts to a more intense course of study. By junior high, our program is geared towards college prep although we accommodate students who may have learning differences or struggles.
Through our Standardized Testing through Terra Nova now Iowa Testing, we are pleased to have LCA students that have won the 2022 Presidential Education Award. Awards are given to the top 20% of students in the nation. In 2022, we had seven students that placed in the top 6%. Gold Awarded students represent students that scored in the top 10% and Silver represents the top 20%. We had numerous students in both our Elementary, Middle, and High School place in these categories and we couldn't be any prouder of them.
